I’ve been deep in the lab working on the next expansion of the Emergence 2028 universe: the new prequel book series, Emergence 2028: Black Web.
The first book, Courier Zero, is currently underway and set three years before the feature film. This series gives me room to dig further into the original world and characters I created, including the street-level networks, megafirm shadows, Dregsprawl operations, Black Web contracts, and hidden histories.
The Emergence 2028 feature is still in post-production, with editing and VFX moving forward, so the book release will be planned around the film’s timetable. The goal is for the book and film to support each other instead of feeling like two separate things floating around.
We’re also talking about doing something different for the launch. Nothing locked yet, but let’s just say we may not be thinking in terms of a normal bookstore table and a folding chair. There could be a screen involved, maybe even a piece of the film world shown the way it was meant to be seen.
