“The Visitor” is a homage to the classic horror films of the 70s, he says, but with more of a psychological edge and a Lovecraftian twist.
Kane manages to employ the usage of low-lighting to drag the frights towards you, and while you’ll most assuredly squint to get a glimpse, the scares will definitely make themselves known when it’s time.
It is hard to come by a steady flow of short films when it comes to the horror genre. Take a few minutes to check out The Visitor and appreciate a specific way of filmmaking and the fact that Ian Kane didn’t waste your time with something that sucks.
